* I’ve been taking yoga classes with Cathie for 10 years now. I was experiencing back pain then and have found yoga to be very healing. Cathie is aware of students’ abilities and infirmities and offers adaptations of the asanas to support them. As an older yogi, I enjoy the slower, more precise yoga classes; but Cathie is very adept at teaching all levels.
* I had a bone density test yesterday -- osteoporosis runs in my family... the test results say, "this patient's bone mineral density is above the minimum desirable level in all 3 skeletal sites tested -(spine, hip and femur)." I asked the radiologist if doing yoga for 10 years could have a positive effect on bone density -- she said "it absolutely does! You have great bones - keep doing yoga!" Soo, thank you.
